We are blessed within our Corio-Lara Parish to have two excellent Catholic Schools catering for the educational and pastoral needs of our primary aged children. They are proud communities of faith providing quality education to meet the developing needs of our children. St Francis Xavier offers our families and their children an important link to the Catholic community, taking on a partnership with the parish. This partnership provides opportunities to grow in faith and service, as well as supporting educational outcomes of which we are rightly proud.
We continue to be blessed by the dedication of Maria Scala, the principal, and the staff of St Francis Xavier, as they support the students with their Religious Education, by providing opportunities for prayer and for religious celebrations. Our Year 3 children celebrated the Sacrament of Penance, our children in Year 4 celebrated the Eucharist and our Year 5/6 children made their Confirmation. It was overwhelming to see all the staff at these celebrations and I appreciated their support very much.
We owe it to our students to continue in our commitment of sharing our Catholic faith with them in a school deeply embedded in a Catholic identity, and by providing them with the highest standard of education possible.
To the families, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, as you continue to trust us with your most precious treasures.
God Bless.
